As my final project in the design program at Auburn University, I created Firstfruits: a free, full-service restaurant for the homeless and the hungry. Firstfruits stands out from the traditional soup kitchen; patrons do not have to queue in long lines while waiting to be served from a buffet. Customers will be served at a table, able to order from a few menu options — giving them back a measure of control ­­— and treated with kindness and respect that looks past their current situation in life.

The audience for Firstfruits is two-fold, and as such, the deliverables are typically focused more on one audience than the other. The first audience is the customer, the second, the potential volunteers and donors.
